The StoreGuard is a Biometric Access Controlled USB Flash
Disk which gives fingerprint access control to the content
of the USB key for secure storage of your data and applications.
The casing is steel and it has a long sized pen-style clip
to protect the biometric sensor when you carry your StoreGuard
around.
The StoreGuard acts as a removable hard drive when plugged
into a USB port. It is truly plug-and-play on Operating Systems
that support USB, like Windows ME, 2000, and XP.
Windows 98 requires a driver to be installed before the StoreGuard
can be used normally.
Access to StoreGuard's data is done via the USB 2.0 high speed
connexion interface.
The StoreGuard comes with a USB extension cable for convenient
use on systems with USB ports, a CDRom for drivers and the
manual.
When you plug the StoreGuard on your Windows computer, a software
automatically runs and prompts for your fingerprint to unlock
the access to the stored files; you therefore don't need to
install any software prior to use the StoreGuard on your computer.
You can optionally install the supplied software to give you
extra security features such as:
- Windows Login : access Windows through
fingerprint verifying
- SecureLock : an encrypted area of the
StoreGuard on which all copied files are fully encrypted
- File & Folder Security : encrypt/decrypt
your HD data through the right mouse button
- Screen Saver Lock : unlock Windows screensaver
by quickly registering your fingerprint
- AutoLogin : Store all your login information
for easy and convenient access to your secure Internet
areas
