Compactflash Type II Hard Drive

The Hitachi Microdrive is a revolutionary new high-capacity, high-performance storage device which capacities is available from 4GB to 6GB.

Hitachi's Microdrive provides cost-effective personal storage. Weighing just over half an ounce (16 grams) and about the size of a matchbook, Hitachi's Microdrive continues to reign as the world's smallest hard disk drive. This new drive uses ultra-miniaturized components, including Hitachi's femto slider technology which enables higher capacities and better power efficiency.

Maximum sustained data rate: over 7.2MB/sec.

The MicroDrives 4 and 6GB are supplied in a retail packaging.
