FAQ 1 - What is the procedure to connect the X'S-Drive to a computer?
Answer:
You simply need to connect the USB Cable to the computer and the X'S-Drive Super (switched on). Four "Removable Drives" will be accessible on your computer; the first Removable Drive is the Internal Hard disk and the following 3 Removable Drives correspond to the Memory card slots (as the X'S-Drive Super can be used as a USB Card reader as well).
.

FAQ 2 - How the files transferred to the X'S-Drive are stored on its internal HD?
Answer:
You can perform Copy Transfers from any memory card to the internal 2.5 inches Hard Disk of the X'S-Drive Super.
Note: You can also copy from the X'S-Drive Hard Disk to a memory card when used alone.
If you have performed several transfers during the day with different types of memory cards, you can connect the X'S-Drive Super to your computer via USB to access all the files transferred.

When you access the last Removable Drive (internal HD), you will see that you can access folders corresponding to the transfers done. All backups are copied to the BACKUP folder of the Hard disk.
Also depending on the Memory card used, the folder names will be as follows:

- CF0000x for CompactFlash
- SM0000x for SmartMedia
- SD0000x for Secure Digital and MultiMediaCard
- MS0000x for Memory Stick
(x is the number of the transfer, i.e. CF00001, CF00002, CF00003...)

You can also copy file by file from a memory card to the Hard Disk, from the Hard disk to a memory card, or from a memory card to another memory card using the user interface of the VP6210 via the MENU button (select Copy and Paste options)

FAQ 3 - How long do the Internal batteries can last before recharging and is there an external battery pack to use the X'S-Drive longer?

FAQ 4 - Is it safe to remove a memory card while files are being transferred?

No, when the transfer is indicated on the LCD panel, do not remove the memory card from the X'S-Drive Super as it may result in lost of file/data, or even damage the X's-drive.

FAQ 5 - Is the X'S-Drive Super compatible USB 2.0 as well as USB 1.1?

FAQ 7 - I get 4 Removable drives when my xs-drive super is connected to my computer - what is the meaning of each of them?

- Removable Drive 1: Hard Disk
- Removable Drive 2: CompactFlash
- Removable Drive 3: SmartMedia

Although under Windows ME or XP you don't need to install drivers, installing from the CDRom will provide you icons for each Removable Drive to make it simple to know what each drive is.

This situation happens when the original file name extension from the camera is not used - this is due to the TIFF format selected when RAW files are produced.

Kodak : .DCR
Fuji : .RAF
Olympus : .ORF

.
