The FreeAgent Pro from Seagate is the latest in high capacity desktop hard drives. With an incredible disk capacity, the FreeAgent Pro is more than just a hard drive. Seagate have added clever software to the package, making this external disk drive a really useful devise.

Easy to install and use
Firstly, to connect the FreeAgent Pro to your computer, you can plug it in via the USB2.0 port, or the very fast eSATA port. This lets you take advantage of the ubiquitous USB2.0 which is on just about every computer available. The eSATA port enables you to take advantage of the incredibly high data transfer that SATA offers. Not that many computers have SATA ports externally, but its easy enough to add an 'expansion card' to your computer, so that you can have SATA externally.

Next, the FreeAgent software. Simply put, the FreeAgent duplicates info onto the disk drive from your computer. So, you can have your emails, iTunes and pictures sync'd with your PC. Take the FreeAgent Pro to another computer, and its all there for you!

Protect your data
The software also lets you roll back files to earlier revisions (say you ruin a file, you can simply go back to the earlier version, then carry on like normal).

Seagate have such confidence in their hard drives that the unit comes with a 5 year warranty. That's the longest warranty of any external hard drive. The FreeAgent pro runs on its side, taking up very little disk space. It is very well made and pretty stylish. A good choice for the computer user who wants quality!
